Remake Learning Days are back, bringing on more than 125 events across the Kansas City area from May 1 to May 16 to engage children and families and show off Kansas City’s enthusiastic community of learning.

The annual celebration unites schools, libraries, nonprofits, businesses and a wide array of community partners in creating unique educational experiences.

The public events — most of them free — give participants opportunities to explore new ways to learn technology, the outdoors, science, the arts, maker spaces and to express youth voices.

The full schedule, including descriptions and photos, is available at remakelearningdays.org/kansascity.

The range of events include a Free Range Friday at the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center in Kansas, a night of maker space fun at the IDEA Space in south Kansas City, the final race of the Kansas ElectroRally season at the MINDDRIVE Invitational at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, and much more.

LINC is celebrating with many events for the youth in its after-school programs with partners like Mad Science, Urban TEC and Kansas City Young Audiences.

A new event at Faxon Elementary School in Kansas City will see LINC and the Front Porch Alliance put the Faxon robotics team to work assembling the AccessaBUILDity wall — a sensory wall designed to make recreation more inclusive as well as an opportunity for students, parents and friends to get hands-on experience building.
