Garden of Hope Class July 20

Want to start gardening but afraid you are too late to plant this year? On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 volunteers from Kansas City Community Gardens will be at the Garden of Hope in Independence to explain what crops can still be planted for the fall harvest. KCCG (www.kccg.org) offers encouragement and guidance for community and home gardeners.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free presentation scheduled for 6-7 pm. The Garden of Hope is located on 22nd Street at Forest in Independence, MO, right behind the Family Dollar store on 23rd Street. The class will be offered rain or shine. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Light refreshments will be served.

Plots are still available in the Garden of Hope. The Garden of Hope mission is to encourage "lifelong healthy and active lifestyles by providing education, support and opportunities for individuals and groups in the Santa Fe Trail and Procter area to improve or maintain their health."
