Boone and Center Caring Communities have a new partnership with Home Depot. Every other month Home Depot brings their “Kids Workshop” to the afterschool programs to create fun, educational projects. In October students made a fire boat. Home Depot provides supplies and aprons for 30 students per project, and project pins are given to each student after completing the activity.Read More
Boone Caring Communities students have been enjoying activities from the Discovery Trunk, a collection of materials provided through the Missouri Department of Conservation. Each of the twelve Discovery Trunks feature a different aspect of Missouri's wildlife and environment such as birds and bats or forests and caves. The students in this slideshow are learning about the tremendous diversity found in Missouri's wildlife. The mammals trunk is filled with pelts, skulls, track (foot print) molds, books, and videos.Read More
