LINC in the Independence School District

LINC began its partnership with the Independence School district in 1994, when four district elementary schools were designated as LINC Caring Communities sites. LINC’s presence in the district grew significantly in 2008, when six former Kansas City, Mo. School District schools were transferred to Independence. In addition to providing school-based services, LINC has partnered with the district on several initiatives aimed at neighborhood redevelopment in western Independence.

Dr. Jim Hinson is the district superintendent.
