Pitch Hit & Run
• Local competitions starting April 15
• Any boy or girl age 7-14 (age is determined as of July 17, 2010) may compete at one of the local competitions.
• There is no registration fee or purchase required to compete.
• Sponsored by LINC Caring Communities and Fort Osage physical education teachers

All events from 4:15-5:30 pm
This year girls and boys will compete in separate divisions. Girls will be required to use a softball and boys will be using a baseball. The winner from each age division (7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14) at each competition site will advance to the sectional competition to be held on May 22, 2010 at the Independence Athletic Complex. Participants may NOT compete at more than one local competition. They will be turned away when registering at any additional site.
Students must be accompanied by an adult. Students must have their registration form completed before they can compete. Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation.
NO METAL SPIKES ARE ALLOWED

Mobile Medical Clinic Available at Elm Grove
Swope Health Services' mobile medical clinic will be at Elm Grove most Mondays (4:30 to 7 p.m) and at Fort Osage High School most Thursdays (3-8 p.m.). It will serve families without health insurance.
Health services available include treating common medical conditions, ear aches, sore throats, eye infections, minor injuries, asthma, allergies, cold and flu-like symptoms and urinary tract infections.
